ART CONTEST

One of the new additions to our scholarship events is our Art Contest. This event is still in its development stages but is gaining interest and enthusiasm.  A trial run of this event was held in the fall of 2018 at a college and the winning entries have been posted on our Facebook page.  Each artist had been given a theme to develop in their painting.

The winners were selected by Art Department Faculty Members. It is the intention of the Eric Williams Scholarship Fund to continue to expand upon this program and broaden its scope in the near future.

ESSAY CONTEST

The Officer Eric J. Williams Scholarship Fund established the essay contest in 2015 and annually calls for the submission of essays which result in the winner(s) receiving a scholarship award. The contestants must develop their essay around a theme which is identified by the committee. The timeframe for submitting the essay will be clearly identified, and usually spans a college semester.  Essays can be submitted by email or through the website. Winners have come from various schools across America. The scholarship award for the essay contest is given directly to the winning student. Contest winners are selected by a board of faculty members at a community college.
